Programme Manager – Commercial – 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to join our Commercial team with responsibility for the management of a strategic procurement programme. Working with one of the world’s leading Mobile Telecoms Service Providers. You’ll be part of a vibrant, agile team at the forefront of Mobile Telecoms and IT Technology.

MBNL is a joint venture responsible for the deployment and management of shared infrastructure for our joint shareholders EE and Three and prides itself with delivering an outstanding customer experience to EE and Three in support of their business plans and goals.

Your background:

You’ll have a strong understanding of UK telecoms programme delivery, including the factors that constrain, enables and enhances the capability of individual suppliers and the supply chain as a whole.

You should have significant and demonstrable experience of managing large scale sourcing and/or strategic programmes with multiple stakeholders and in-depth knowledge of Programme management methodologies.

You must demonstrate experience of managing the relationships between customer, commercial and technical requirements with ability to analyse technical and commercial proposals from suppliers and against the strategic business case.

The Role:

You will be accountable for the successful programme management of RFP, Vendor selection and contract negotiations with multiple site providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the programme governance, interfaces, progress updates and reporting.
  • Provision of all Project product deliverables as necessary e.g. Project Definition Document, project plans, RAID.
  • Proactively and effectively manage the relationships with all stakeholders including MD, FD, Property Director and Shareholders.
  • Managing the programme budget.
  • Managing the delivery of day-to-day programme tasks, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Dynamically managing the availability of resources.
  • Providing critical input to selection of the optimum commercial proposals to meet MBNL and Shareholder objectives.
  • Developing the programme approach for service transition.

We have an exciting opportunity for an end-to-end Network Security Expert to act as principal consultant to our internal teams and shareholders.

The purpose of the role is to:

Provide advisory and consultancy services within a project driven environment.

Confirm security policy and good practice is upheld, threats to company systems and data are identified and risks are managed to achieve optimal level of security.
Work closely with designers and developers across Technology, and to develop and maintain relationships with key technology areas, shareholders, suppliers and other relevant parts of the business.

 

The key responsibilities are to:

Provide Network and Infrastructure Security consultancy across all MBNL managed elements and provide advice for shareholder security teams where appropriate.

Maintain early engagement for incoming projects and requests

Enforce Information Security policy and risk-based best practice.

Perform security risk assessments throughout the design stages – perform threat analysis, identify vulnerabilities, propose efficient solutions aimed at reducing risk to the optimal level acceptable by MBNL and the shareholders.

Review Solution Designs and perform security analysis and approval.

Build and maintain strong relationships with MBNL teams, drive Information Security awareness, in order to embed Information Security in the corporate culture.

 

The key challenges are:

Managing across a diverse user group and multiple business units and 3rd party suppliers

Managing across a diverse system and application environment across multiple infrastructures

Managing demarcations of responsibility across a wide range of organisations including shareholders and suppliers.

 

Your background:

Ideally, you will have a mobile network operator background with experience of overseeing the complete e2e security of the RAN, Transport and Core Network domains, as well as the interfaces with Enterprise.

Alternatively, you will experience with fixed line operators or network infrastructure vendors.

 

Your key skills and experience:

Experience in implementing, maintaining and adapting recognised security standards to fit with new technology and networks. E.g. PCI and ISO27001

Excellent communication and engagement skills. You will be acting as a consultant to internal senior stakeholders, delivery teams and external shareholders.

Industry certifications: CISM and/or CISSP or equivalent.
