The “WHAT” and “HOW” of site surveys

How are potential new locations for hosting telecoms equipment assessed?  What activities are involved in such assessments and how are they carried out?  Why are site surveys crucial to ensuring mobile services can be maintained and improved?  Our recently launched “Introduction to Site Surveys” series of videos have all the answers to your questions relating to site surveys.

MBNL provides critical mobile network infrastructure services to EE and Three for serving their customers across the UK.  As demand for mobile connectivity grows, we need suitable new sites to extend coverage or to replace sites that need to be relocated.  These new sites can be on a building’s rooftop or on a piece of land and are selected following all relevant government regulations and National Planning Policy.  Once a potential new site location is identified, its suitability for hosting telecommunications equipment needs to be assessed via a number of surveys and visits.
