The Health & Safety Business Partner plays a key role within MBNL's Health, Safety & Environment team, partnering with leadership and operational teams to embed safe ways of working across one of the UK's largest and most complex mobile infrastructure portfolios. Through coaching, influencing and business partnering, you'll help build a proactive safety culture that supports MBNL's vision of 'Everyone Home Safe and Well Every Day'.

This role helps ensure safety is embedded into everyday decision-making, supporting our people, partners and suppliers to deliver safe, compliant and high-performing operations across our national estate.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.

What you'll be here to do;

  • Partner with leadership and operational teams to improve health and safety performance and embed a positive safety culture. 
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety plans aligned to MBNL's safety vision. 
  • Coach and influence leaders to build capability and ownership of health and safety. 
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, assurance activities and performance analysis. 
  • Develop and maintain Health & Safety standards, processes and guidance. 
  • Support cross-functional improvement projects and organisational change. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, shareholders and suppliers. 
  • Use data and industry best practice to identify risks, improve performance and support informed decision-making. 

Who we're looking for;

  • A strong background in client-side construction along with experience as a Health & Safety Business Partner, influencing leaders and embedding positive safety cultures. 
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 Health & Safety qualification). 
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and ISO 45001. 
  • Excellent business partnering, stakeholder management and coaching skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive performance improvements. 

If you also have the following, we'd especially like to hear from you;

  • Chartered IOSH (CMIOSH), or working towards Chartered status. 
  • Experience within a client-side construction or infrastructure organisation. 
  • Experience working in a joint venture or complex multi-stakeholder environment. 
  • Experience supporting organisational change and cultural transformation.
