Senior M&E Design Engineer
Contract to end of 2021 initially

The Role:

Working as part of our Tower & Network Services directorate, the Senior M&E Infrastructure Design Engineer will be working with our shareholders (Three and EE/BT), our external site design partners and our wider design team, to futureproof our site design requirements for passive infrastructure supporting and housing our mobile network hardware.

What you can expect to be doing:

• Develop Mechanical, Electrical and Enclosure solutions which address the vision of futureproofed infrastructure, bearing in mind the legacy issues on existing cell sites.
• Collaborate with both shareholders to clarify their technical requirements and guide them to appropriate design solutions
• Building a detailed knowledge of the MBNL design guides and ability to clearly communicate them
• Support the Site Design team with queries relating to Concessions and Deviations approval
• Supporting Design seminars to distribute and explain documentation

What we are looking for:

• Significant experience working for a Design Function both at design and management levels, creating appropriate solutions for support of active infrastructure. This could be within an Operator, an MSP, a Design company or a Contractor.
• Able to communicate across all levels to ensure design goals are understood. Both in writing and verbally.
• Good understanding of the CDM2015 regulations with particular emphasis on the Client and Designer roles. Clear knowledge of the steps required in eliminating, mitigating and controlling risk for the builders, users and maintainers of a cell site.
