Quality Health and Safety Engineer

We are looking for a Health and Safety Engineer to join the DPD Team. Safety and quality underpin all projects relating to the MBNL and shareholder Radio Access Networks. Working with key suppliers and partners, MBNL are passionately engaged in providing the best quality network with a positive H&S approach to all aspects of the work we do in maintaining, managing and upgrading the network.

The role

  • Develop and improve quality and safety processes
  • Visit site and promote best practice auditing
  • Assist MBNL key partner to manage suppliers across MBNL, EE and Three projects
  • Financial management of H&S projects
  • Reporting and preparation of information for a wide variety of audiences both internal and external
  • Assist and provide direction to site auditing activities
  • Carry out site audit checks (QA and H&S)
  • Financial management and reporting
  • Provide management reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement new auditing scopes for new equipment and/or projects
  • Responding to the general public regarding various aspects of mobile phone network queries

 Must Have 

  • Degree qualification in a technical subject

  • H&S and/or Quality experience

  • Experience in managaging suppliers

  • Experience of developing and implementing processes (within a field environment)

  • Ability to critically assess processes and make improvements

  • Excellent reporting skills

  • Able to adapt to changing requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to commincate to a wide ranges of audiences (Engineers on site to Senior Managers/Directors)

  • Clean DL, willingness to travel UK wide (50% site based).

 Nice to Have

  •  H&S or Quality training
  • Mobile telecoms experience

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Access
