We are looking for a Procurement Logistics Controller to join our team.  If you know MBNL, you’ll know this is an opportunity to join a fantastic team, with daily challenge to your work and opportunity to fully utilise your coordination skills at the forefront of mobile network services.

Our Logistics Team are responsible for partnering with MBNL’s Deployment Team and Small Works Contractors nationally, to ensure that everything is in place for us to Build or Upgrade RAN, Transmission and Backhaul Network sites across our Shareholders’ (Three and EE) shared network throughout the UK.

The Role

This role has a broad remit, requiring excellent organisational skills and ability to engage with internal and external customers as well as 3rd party service providers.  To ensure our Deployment Teams have what they need, when they need it, here are a few of the things you could expect to be doing:

  • Overall management of the procurement for Logistics
  • Raise quotes/PO’s based on approved forecast, backfill for shortages, direct requests etc. Where forecast is not approved, work with stakeholders to identify actions to be carried out to mitigate Programme/Project risk
  • Ensure quotes/POs are approved in a timely manner, chasing approval parties if needed
  • Manage all direct to site orders
  • Responsible for Vendor management, including forecasts, deliveries, and ensuring all orders are on time, in full and error free
  • Liaising with the Stakeholders regarding unilateral equipment orders and expected delivery dates.
  • Working closely with the Forecasting controllers to minimise procurement costs
  • Responsible for order book management
  • Work closely the Small Works Contractors to maintain stock levels, including stock in field with local facilities and ensure compliance to SLA’s.
  • Collaborative working with Design to ensure recent products are being deployed.

What we are looking for:

Aside from a confident, engaging manner, which will allow you to get the very best out of those around you, we are looking for the following experience:

  • Strong experience of motivating and managing outsource Suppliers to agreed time, cost and quality targets
  • Ability and experience of working in a fast-paced environment and providing support as and when required
  • Strong experience of providing key information to both shareholders and suppliers, with strong knowledge of commercially sensitive situations
  • Microsoft Excel skills – Confident managing reporting and data using intermediate functions like Pivots and Lookups.
